Product details

Milk chocolate, orange rind and raspberry candy. Rise Up is Volcano Coffee Works’ dark-roasted blend of coffees from Brazil and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Rich and comforting as an espresso, with a little fruit to brighten the finish.

Why it’s on our shelf

There’s plenty to enjoy in the cup, but Rise Up caught our attention for the people behind it. Part of the blend comes from Rebuild Women's Hope, a women-led coffee cooperative on Idjwi Island in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It's a good reminder that the coffee we drink has a story beyond its tasting notes.

The people behind it

Founded by Marceline Budza, Rebuild Women's Hope works to create opportunities for women through coffee growing. The Brazilian component comes from Fazenda Mió, Volcano’s partner in its agroforestry project. Two origins with distinct contributions to the blend.
