Ivan Chai - also known as rosebay willowherb - is a caffeine free tisane that is hand harvested and processed at the Kinnettles Tea Garden. It originated as a traditional Russian infusion around 13th century. It has the appearance of a deep coloured semi-oxidised tea and has a mellow taste similar to zucchini with a citrus top note. Only 5kg is harvested each year.
Why it’s on our shelf
We chose this for its connection to Kinnettles Tea Garden in Scotland. It is an interesting way to explore a locally grown botanical infusion, with a mellow cup and a little citrus lift.
The Ritual & Brew Guide
